13JanSale!MINECRAFT CODING CLUB: Don’t just let your children play Minecraft, get them coding with it! In this spring term weekly class, the students will be taught to code using Minecraft, in a block-based programming language (Microsoft Make Code). Age: 6+ MICROBIT CODING/SPHERO CODING CLUB:Learn to code using the amazing micro:bit before Feb half -term. We will use different programming languages to work with this versatile piece of hardware. We will start off with Microsoft MakeCode, then use the micro:bit in combination with Scratch to create and play games.After Feb half-term, we learn to code using Sphero, a powerful robot designed to inspire curiosity and creativity. Our challenges help participants grasp coding concepts in the most fun way ever! Course participants learn about robotics and the fundamentals of programming. Weekly Minecraft Coding Club: Don’t just let your children play Minecraft; get them coding with it! In this live online weekly class, the students will be taught to code using Minecraft, in a block-based programming language (Microsoft MakeCode). In this 1 hour weekly class, students will be taught to code using Minecraft. Every week, there will be a new exciting, action-packed project with builds and mobs of all sorts! Each week, we work on a new topic from start to finish so new joiners will not be at a disadvantage. You can book a block of 4 or 9 sessions. Age Requirement: 7+ Who is the course for? The course is aimed at children who are at least 7 years of age. What we will cover:
- Learn block-based Microsoft MakeCode coding similar to Scratch
- Use loops and conditionals (IF/THEN/ELSE)
- Understand variables (number, Boolean, string)
- Create and use functions
- Use all of the above to make games and build structures
- Welcome and Introductions
- Overview of the topic
- Coding in Minecraft
- Creative time decorating
- Testing and playing
- Publishing and sharing
- Wrap up
